The founding story
Foundation EGI began as a research project at MIT's Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence Laboratory (CSAIL), one of the world's leading AI research centers. Dr. Mok Oh, Prof. Wojciech Matusik, and Michael Foshey identified a critical gap: while AI was transforming software, the physical manufacturing world was still generating documentation by hand, taking weeks or months per product. We built Foundation EGI to close that gap.
